I really liked this book. It was festive but not tacky. When I finished it I immediately thought there was going to be a follow up book but it doesn’t seem like there is which is a shame. Would love to catch up with the characters maybe a year or two down the line.

This was a book appropriated from a holiday cottage - although I did leave a couple behind as payment! I was attracted by the Danish setting and how this may translate into an English book.

The story of Bo and a disastrous couple of months is entertaining enough, but somehow it felt like something was missing. It had characters that were nice enough (apart from Ben - a total arse), and love does happen quickly for some. But as nice as the story was, it was a little flat. I didn't find myself not wanting to put the book down, nor did I find myself rushing to pick it back up again. Not much of a review I know, but it really is one of those 'can't put your finger on it' things really.

If it's in the 50p section then it's definitely worth a read...

I received a NetGalley preview of this book. So what I'm going to say about the book is based on the first few chapters I read.

The title and cover of the book drew me, but I was then disappointed when I started reading. I couldn't connect to the heroine and wasn't drawn into the story. I didn't feel the Hygge.

I did not like the writing style: too many repetitions, too many sentences following the same pattern - and I seriously hope the grammar mistakes will be ironed out by the copy editing.
