Finn Callaghan is the youngest of three brothers who is following his family tradition to become a police officer. Also, he wants to prove that his father was not a dirty cop and also to look into his death. Finn graduates from the police academy and gets his first assignment which turns out to be undercover. Finn is excited and anxious to prove himself and not to do anything wrong. In the real world a rookie officer would never do this type of assignment alone...but it's just a story and a good enough book that I will try to overlook it. Soon we meet Michael Caruso who is the head of the task force to end an underage prostitution ring that is preying on homeless gay teens. While he has mixed emotions about taking on a rookie in his investigation...one with no experience what-so-ever, Finn looks and fits the part that Michael needs. The closer that Michael works with Finn the more he cares about him in more ways than one and wants him to be more than just a work partner. Michael is a gay but hides his sexuality at work. The connection between Michael and Finn is really intense. They become a pair that can work together as well as have a relationship together. I found the book well written with a distinctive, easy to plot. The main characters were fascinating. The ending was predictable if you read much M/M Romances, but it did have some unexpected twists and turns. Overall, I would have to call the story "captivating". Since it seems to be the start of a series, I hope these characters show up again in the future books.

I almost did not pick this book because of the title - I do not read many hetero romances for my own reasons, but since I have found I like this author, I decided to give it a try. I am so glad I did. For one thing, it is not a hetero romance - it is definitely m/m. It did send me off on another series binge - The Treaty Brides - which I found to be thought-provoking. A full review is given on the posting of the final book.
Overall, Well-developed characters, an extremely well-developed world with linked, but separate, stories, and each individual story with enough twists to make it interesting.

This is marginally better than the previous installment, where Daniel, a Beta, came off as an old creepy leech.

I don't get Daniel in this book either; he acts like a total doormat instead of a beta. Reed is too unconventional and pushy for an omega, especially a severely abused one. I do get his fight for personal rights and freedom, but he can really use a good spanking here and there.

That said, I can't wait for moar! There are arctic shifters, there are former enemy shifters, there are more sigmas and omegas to claim... and only Samantha knows what else is roaming the local woods =)

Oh, and the length of each installment is perfect for my current schedule on the run :)

Can't wait for book 7!

The first meeting between a Dom and a new sub, especially someone who has never submitted before, can carry an interesting mix of fear and excitement. Fear of failure, for both the Dom and the sub, and excitement about the potential payoff. One, as in this case, that may last far beyond just that first night. This story does a great job of showing both sides, adding all the emotions swirling between the two men while they play like a “cherry on top of the sundae”.

Drew is used to being in command. Much of his training and experience as a soldier has been about teaching him how to stay in command. And yet, there is a part in him that longs to give up control, even if only in the bedroom, and to let him relax. When he finally does act on his desire, he approaches the “mission” with military precision and does lots of research to make sure he knows who he submits to. I am glad he did that, too many people risk taking that step without the proper preparation.

Luc is a Dom with a reputation to maintain, and is very good at what he does. He is also tired of playing with different men each time. It sounded to me as though he was only looking for an “excuse” to give up his wandering lifestyle. When Drew fulfills his every fantasy he is more than enthusiastic and ready to explore what they have in earnest.

These two men have never met in real life, yet the basic foundation of trust they have built via e-mails serves them well. Drew’s hard-won courage to follow his desires, and Luc’s careful guidance and hard-fought control were convincing and added a nice flavor to this simple story of a first encounter.
If you like reading about first encounters with BDSM, if a strong man submitting to an even stronger guy for the first time sounds interesting, and if serious bondage and discipline (all extremely consensual) is what you’re looking for, you may like this short story.

Safewords exist for a reason, and any sub who is forced to face a Dom without a verbal (or other) way to stop them is in danger of being hurt or worse. This story is set far outside the borders of “safe, sane, and consensual”, with a cruel arms dealer out to hurt and humiliate “his sub” as much as possible. I put his sub into quotation marks because what this guy does to Carter is torture, pure and simple. Luckily for my sanity none of it was on the page, but Carter’s attitude and hopelessness was a clear consequence of how he has been treated for years.

So when one of the arms dealer’s “guests” and potential future customers is given Carter as a perk, and told to do with him as he pleases for a weekend, Carter thinks he knows what he is in for. Imagine his surprise when Crow (the persona of undercover agent Damien Crow) turns out to be Carter’s dream master. Damien is strict but caring, willing and able to give just as much pain as Carter enjoys yet considerate, and surprises himself by how attracted he is to Carter – despite the fact that he thought he was straight. Amidst the need to solve the case, and Damien’s increasing need to keep Carter safe, this turns out to be quite a suspenseful adventure!

I loved the slowly developing trust between these two men, and the demonstration of the power of a safeword in helping develop that trust made this a great read. If you’re looking for an example of a mistreated sub relearning what it’s like to play with a considerate Dom, and if you enjoy a little suspense with your BDSM, then this story might be for you.

Aaron and Susan. What can I say about them other than this was a very erotic, hot and sexy book. After all look at the title it has booty call in it. I think the characters are believable because they know one another and had at least a knowledge of one another before they did anything. The characters are also likable. This story has the elements of having sex with someone you’ve wanted for a long time but was afraid to do anything about vibe but these two characters just got for it.

Being a short and being a booty call allows room for the reader to wonder what will happen after the sex is over. I think it was tied together well and wrapped up to my satisfaction. Great story and I recommend it for someone who wants a nice quickie filled with fun and hot sex.

There was a great quick read. Emily and Kevin did seem to move a bit fast considering the level of trust that their type of relation requires but it was a lot of fun to see them hook up and meet each other's needs.
