This is a very basic beginning reader style biography of inventor Lonnie Johnson. There is only a sentence or two per page using basic language. Each page spread then has a corresponding picture, but the pictures are sort of tangentially related. For instance, in talking about Johnson creating a robot for a school science fair, there is a picture of modern-day kids milling about a school science fair. I guess it's difficult when there isn't archival footage, but I feel like no photos or straight-up illustrations would be better. Still, this gives even the youngest readers a chance to meet this interesting person and learn about his perseverance in engineering.… (altro)
