Giacomo Castelvetro

Centuries before the current health campaign to get us all to eat more fruit and vegetables, Giacomo Castelvetro was trying to persuade people to do the same thing. He wrote this book in 1641AD when he was living in England as he was horrified by the vast quantities of meat and sweet things being consumed in this country. This is the first English translation of his work and is fabulously illustrated.
