Lots of technical errors. Just meh.

What happens when there is a major power disruption? People either sit around waiting for someone to fix it or they realize that it is serious and start putting their plans in play.

This is listed as a thriller novel, but I just didn't feel it. In fact, I would add that I felt it was more of a Young Adult book. The story starts off wonderfully introducing the main characters and location. From that point, I felt bogged down with extra daily routine, that didn't seem to have anything to do with any one thing in particular. I found myself skipping pages at a time to see if anything interesting happened. I was not a bit surprised about the ending, and felt more let down than thrilled. The writing itself was well done and easily read, with descriptive passages where needed, just a bit mundane and boring with what I felt were unnecessary details.

Okay, quick pace

Decent zombie story striving to be a little different. Not so sure it hits the mark, but an okay escape, good KU selection. I might check out some more of Casey's work.

Decent zombie serial

An okay read. A serial, worth it if you have Kindle Unlimited, if not, grab an edition with several episodes

As with any book in this genre, the beginning was a little shaky and rather predictable. I thought the dialogue was a little weak, but I will admit I was kind of drawn into the story a bit. I will be reading the rest of the series, and anticipate the story picking up as it progresses.

Episode 2 was definitely way better than Episode 1, or rather the pilot? To me the dialogue was still a little week, but in this episode I was shown what was happening, instead of told what was happening. That's way more attractive in a zombie book.

Once again I am pleasantly surprised at how well this story is developing. Naturally I had my doubts, but as this story unfolds and evenly progresses, I am ever so eager to follow, strung along word for word. I anticipate finishing this 1st season rather quickly.

When I started this series I was a bit hesitant as the 1st episode was a little weak and predictable, however I now see Casey was just priming his readers for an ultimate brain hemorrhage. Episode 4 has thus far been the most entertaining in the series. The group is on the verge of completely ending, losing but a few smaller characters that leaves the reader feeling remorseful and pained. I have but 2 short episodes left in Season 1 an eagerly look forward to the brain devouring madness ahead of me.

This volume definitely threw me for a loop. We lost some incredible characters but gained a genuine image of those remaining. The story progresses at an excellent rate setting up each new scene where the previous ended. I cannot wait to devour the next season.
