"Nothing good ever happens after 2a.m."

"After Midnight" is insane. Brilliantly insane. If you've ever seen the Martin Scorsese picture After Hours, it's that with Dylan Dog in place of Griffin Dunne, along with the comic's usual blend of the macabre.

This is the kind of madcap nightmare activity I've come to expect from Sclavi.

This is magnificent! After reading up a bit on Dylan Dog (the comic character, not the movie version), this is what I was expecting. It's weird, it's terrifying, it's thrilling.

One thing that really did it for me with this one was the narration throughout. This guy, really only tangentially connected to the case (knew one of the victims), becomes almost an integral part of it.

"Memories of the Invisible World" is just great from start to finish.
