An alphabet book featuring Alaska’s native bears. Each letter is represented by somewhat silly cartoon renderings of various brown, black, and polar bears. Sure to be a well-loved ABC book for preschool children everywhere!

Having never been to Alaska (yet), this book allowed me to go past the contiguous United States and travel to a land that I can only dream of for the moment. I enjoyed flipping through the pages and taking in the beautifully illustrated drawings, all the while learning about the different types of wildlife found there. At the end of the book, there is even a glossary that further describes all of the wildlife previously referenced throughout the book. I think that this would be a fun and educational book for both parents and children alike.

Informative and interactive book for young children still learning about the alphabet.

This is an excellent concept book that allows students to not only learn the alphabet, but they also learn animals that coincide with a specific letter. This is a great book for younger students who are just learning the alphabet because essentially they are learning two things at the same time. It is also a rather funny book because they give humorous examples of bears with certain letters.

Alaska's ABC Bears by Shannon Cartwright is a concept/toy book that basically just teaches the ABC's. On each page there is a new letter with something that starts with that certain letter and corresponds with the bear. For example, "Jumping Bear," "Quiet Bear," or "Tall Bear." I would recommend this book for kids learning the alphabet so probably Preschool or Kindergarten.

This book is a great way for children to learn their ABC's. It goes through the whole alphabet A-Z describing different kinds of bears and silly actions. ex. (D- Dancing Bears)

This book would work well for grades K-2
