This book would be good as a read-aloud for first graders so that they can count and compare the two things the monsters are comparing and learn greater than and less than. However, this book shouldn't be used for a large group of students because they wouldn't all be able to see the details in the picture and be able to count them. Also, the book could be used independently by students so that they can have the chance to find the answer independently and work through why one is more or less than another.
