I am 1/5th into the book.

I would say plot is driving the narrative, except I don’t think it is. The world-building is so flimsy, everything that happens tears holes in the universe. The characters don’t ring true, the tech is almost inexplicable, and nothing is really explained.

There were also several proofreading errors. Spellcheck is not going to save you if you use the wrong word.

I know it may get better, but there are other books out there that may be better from the beginning instead of repairing early mistakes. If I am 20% into a book and don’t want to keep going, then it’s not good.… (altro)
