Siete años después de lo acontecido en "Pequeñas mentiras sin importancia", angustiado y al borde de la depresión, Max (François Cluzet) decide pasar solo un largo fin de semana en su casa de la costa. Pero sus viejos amigos Eric, Marie, Vincent, Isabelle y Antoine han planeado visitarle para darle una fiesta sorpresa de cumpleaños. Every year, Max, a successful restaurant owner, and Véro, his eco-friendly wife invite a merry group of friends to their beautiful beach house to celebrate Antoine's birthday and kick-start the vacation.
