Fina Whitesage lives in Tennessee with her pack. She is the daughter of the pack alpha and is destined to become the next female alpha of her pack.

Sheriff Cutler Powell is the alpha of his own pack in Wyoming. He is on the serious side and when he wants something, he takes it.

Nathanial Powell is the beta of his brother’s pack in Wyoming. He owns and operates an Eco Tours. He is charming and very easy going.

Fina comes home and finds almost her entire pack slaughtered. A pack of rogue wolves have moved in to her home and the homes of her people. They want her to become a breeder for them and Fina plays along until she can get away. On her way out of town she finds a young boy from her pack and takes him with her. They find themselves in Wyoming and in the middle of a pack they know nothing about. When Cutler first sees her he wants her as his mate but his wolf tells him to wait. Instead he takes her to his home and gives her shelter from the men that have taken over her pack. If that isn’t bad enough, when Nathanial comes home and finds her, he wants her as well. Fina goes from starting college to being the chew toy for two very strong wolf brothers.

The story When a Pack Dies by Gwen Campbell was quite an emotional one. Fina has the world at her fingertips and no real responsibilities until she becomes one of the only wolves of her pack. Instead of lying down and taking it she pushes on. Cutler and Nathanial take her in and help to remind her that she is strong and capable. I can’t tell you how many times I sighed while reading this book. Although in the beginning there is a rape scene, it does not go into detail and also is a big part of the story.

First of all, that cover makes me blush. LOL

Second, I enjoyed Seduced by Silver. The set-up of the Eupanorian world is different enough (humanoid beings with a culture based on wolf pack structure) that it totally makes sense that if someone isn't Alpha enough for their woman, someone else is. And that it's Meadow's boyfriend's dad? Hey, he's the Alpha! And she's an Alpha bitch! LOL

This kind of thing would not work for me in a contemporary or even a historical, but Gwen has created an interesting world and I bought it.

Killian and Meadow have been dating for a while. But after they reach final maturity, something that happens when a Eupanorian reaches their 20s, Meadow realizes that Killian isn't her equal in the pack social structure. He's mid-level. And she's an Alpha. The trip to his childhood home is in an effort to rekindle their romance, a chance for Killian to prove he can handle her. Unfortunately, Killian couldn't...but his father can. Meadow and Keefe don't back down from each other and are constantly challenging the other. Perfect chemistry for two Alphas.

But can Killian live with the choice he made? And does Keefe want Meadow for life or for the rest of the trip?

I liked Meadow. She definitely was an Alpha and I loved that she was equal to Keefe. In shifter stories, the Alpha male is so alpha, and the heroine kind of isn't. LOL So I really liked that these two were equal. And the hot sex doesn't hurt. I wouldn't have minded a bit more conflict, because there really wasn't any. But for pure escapism with some Alpha-ness, I'd recommend Seduced by Silver.

I made it through 30 pages before I just couldn't take it anymore. I was totally squicked out by the son's girlfriend hooking up with the dad, especially considering some of the dialogue/thoughts.

Just..wrong.

I liked this book much better than the first. I felt that the threesome had better chemistry and were more believable as a couple. Besides the fact that I was thrilled for Owen to get his own story. I liked him in the first book and was glad to see that Gwen Campbell revisited such a sexy Alpha male. I loved the action within the book it kept me guessing and wanting to read more and more.

I will say at first I was worried as to if the relationship between the three Weres who are all extremely Alpha in their own way and once they get together the sparks that fly between them all is
very sexy.

Once again I was worried there would be too much story for a menage to work. But it worked for me this time.

I loved how the author had all of characters in the menage fall in love with each other. Yes you heard me right. Even the men fell in love with each other which I think helped this story
to flow and not have jealousy rear it's ugly head and destroy a beautiful triangle.

Suzanne is the female part of the trio and feisty and strong in her own right. I loved that. Tom is the second male in the trio and though he is an alpha when paired with Owen he definitely is the beta of the two. His quiet strength showed through quite well and worked well enough to make all of this believable.

I do recommend this book. Loved it. Thank you Gwen Campbell.
