Oh my god… Was the editor half asleep reading this?
I had to DNF in the first chapter. The author spent the entire first chapter rambling and talking in circles. It was an ABCABC pattern of just rewording the same grouping. After the fourth or fifth time of hearing about the “disgusting humans and Toads” I was pretty sure I had gotten the gist. The same could be said for the “brutal” “towering, seven-feet-tall, marble-skinned aliens”.

I couldn’t get past it.
