It's easy to get complacent about one's surroundings, especially having lived in a place for a long time. I didn't think I'd learn much from this guide, but I was wrong. While I was familiar with all the municipalities, there are dozens of sites, museums and spots I didn't know about, not to mention shops, restaurants and cafés that have sprouted over the years. Cities, towns and villages morph fairly quickly and this book was a good reminder that it's always nice to check in for new discovery, old favourite or forgotten gem.
Easy to consult, this book will be stowed in my car to make sure I have it as a handy resource as I meander the Ottawa and Outaouais region.… (altro)
