This is a story about a triangle that doesn't like its shape, so the triangle tries different ones out. You can use this by introducing to your students the different names of each shape. Good for ages 2nd-3rd.

A great book to teach your students about different shapes and the number of lines that make up different shapes. Also a great story that symbolises about contentment and being yourself!

This book is great for learning about shapes and math, perfect for ages 5-7. The illustrations help showcase the fun of learning in this book. It talks about a triangle and the journey's it goes on, then a square, then a pentagon, and so on.

I would recommend this book for 2nd-5th grade students because it goes over geometry topics that would be harder for younger students to understand. This book goes through different triangles and where they appear in everyday life, they also begin to shift into different geometric shapes and show how more shapes appear. This would be good in the classroom because it is important to have books that are about math, but show it in a fun way that engage students in learning about how math shows up in real life.

A triangle is pleased with all the things it can do, but eventually becomes unsatisfied and asks the shapeshifter for another side and another angle. It enjoys being a quadrilateral for a while, then becomes dissatisfied...the pattern repeats until the shape decides to go back to being a triangle again. An entertaining intro to shapes, from triangle to dodecagon. Additional back matter for parents and teachers.½

Mr. and Mrs. Comfort invited 32 people for a family reunion. They arranged the table in order to accommodate everyone, but as everyone started coming in the husband and guests start rearranging the seating. Eventually, at the end, the best way to have the seating arrangement is the way Mrs. Comfort had it. This book had many mathematical concepts included, but the main ones were Area and Perimeter. It gives many examples of how to rearrange a rectangle table with using perimeter and area. I would use this as a read aloud because it is creative and fun, but I would use some parts of the book to introduce perimeter or area. I feel like students will confused if too much is presented to them, but overall a great and enjoyable book.

This book is about Mr. and Mrs. Comfort having a family reunion. They need to arrange the tables so that everyone in the family can have some of their delicious spaghetti and meatballs. This book explains all about area and perimeter in a cute, funny way. I think this would be a great book to read to a 4th or 5th grade classroom right before you teach a lesson about area and perimeter.

This book is about a triangle who visits a shape shifter. Throughout the story the triangle tries different shapes and experiences. Having additional sides and angles. In the end the Triangle goes back to his original form. This book is great for students in many ways, the first being it is very informative in different shapes. The other reason is that it teaches students to be happy with your own shape and trying to be something that you are not.½

In this story, the Comfort family throw a dinner party for their friends. They order tables and chairs, and they try different arrangements of the same number of tables to accommodate the extra guests that arrive. This book would be perfect to show composition of shapes and how it affects the area and perimeter of the rectangles.

(illustration) In this book, a triangle keeps going back to a shapeshifter trying to change his shape. Each time, he adds another side, but this doesn’t make him happy. In the end, he realizes he actually liked being a triangle and changes back to his original shape. I liked the illustrations and the message of the book. I think this is a good book to read to children because it teaches self-acceptance. The book has colorful illustrations throughout the story and shows the different shapes the triangle turns into. These pictures can help children engage with the story.

Mr. and Mrs. Comfort wanted to invite family and friends over for a family reunion that would seat 32 guests. She arranged a seat for each guest. As family and friends began to arrive they rearranged the seating so they could sit with each other. Once everyone arrived the seating arrangement ended the way Mrs.Comfort originally had it.
Mrs. Comfort was very frustrated with everyone changing her seating arrangement but it worked out. In the end everyone realized Mrs. Comfort set up worked best. This book could be used as an introduction to area, perimeter, division, and possible multiplication.½

The Comforts are hosting a family reunion at their house and are making their famous spaghetti and meatballs. They have planned the seating and meals perfectly, but when the guests arrive all of their plans go out the window. Throughout the story students can be prompted and asked of what the Comforts should do and how they could solve the various problems that arise in the book. It is a great story for teaching the concept and importance of measurement.

I really enjoyed this book for both its surface-level educational value and the way in which it explored more complex themes as a children book. THE GREEDY TRIANGLE tells the story of a triangle wanting to be more, so it visits a shapeless shapeshifter (a quality detail that I absolutely adored) that transformed it into a quadrilateral, then a pentagon, and further on. The story addresses the saying "the grass is greener on the other side", The triangle, after adding another side, would eventually still become dissatisfied after a while. The story introduces not only individuality, but also the principal of "less is more". As a triangle, it could be so many things as the shape is very involved in architecture and design. In the end, it is happy to return back to its normal 3-sided shape and is very content with that.

The greedy triangle can be a sailboat, fit in the crook of people's arms, or be a support structure. But when this gets boring, they ask a shapeshifter for another side and another angle. This goes on and on throughout the book, until the triangle has up to nine sides! I liked this book because it taught properties of shapes through story. Students who struggle with geometry and math, but like reading, would benefit from this book.½

A greedy triangle is unhappy with his 3 sides and shape shifts into every shape you can imagine, but loses his sense of self and his friends along the way. This is the perfect book to introduce a lesson on shapes or geometry. It allows students to predict what shape the triangle will turn into next as well as give examples of everyday objects of the shape he turns into, allowing students to form connections. It also teaches a lesson about the importance of being yourself and staying true to who you are. Overall, I think this book could be a fun opener in any grade level to get kids thinking about shapes and their characteristics.

This book is a easy read for students. It wants the students to focus on math and the author does so by talking about food. This story helps students understand how they can apply basic math principles in everyday life and have it be useful. This book would be great in the classroom because students love food and can relate to the application of the math, even if they do not like math per say.

This is about Mr. and Mrs. Comfort having a dinner party for all of their family and friends. During the story, Mrs. Comfort made a seating chart for the all of the family and friends to sit. This great to use in a classroom when talking about perimeter and area, as well as problem solving. This could be done in a classroom with the students moving around the desk or in groups working together to make the seating chart work. I gave this book a 5 out of 5, because it could easily made into a fun lesson for the students.

This book is about Mr. and Mrs. Comfort planning a dinner party with their family, friends, and neighbors. They plan on having spaghetti and meatballs. Mrs. Comfort has to order tables and chairs to sit all the guests and maps out the seating. As soon as the guests arrive, they start changing the seating arrangements and Mrs. Comfort gets a little flustered and isn't sure all the guests will fit with the constant change of seating arrangements.
This book is perfect for a math class and using spatial visualization. The book can be used during a perimeter lesson in partner with the pair-share strategy.

This is such a cute book to introduce different shapes and everything that they could be. The books goes into great detail about each shape and vocabulary. An important lesson came from this book to be happy with yourself though. I gave this book 4 stars because even though it is very cute and detailed, it is a long book. I could see students getting bored because it repeats itself many times.

This book is about a couple who decided to have a family dinner at their house. Mrs. Comfort had made a seating chart so that everyone would have a place to sit at the table. When everyone arrived they started changing the seating arrangement around. I gave this book a five because it teaches students that there are many ways to do math such as making a seating chart. It shows that just by rearranging tables you can have good spatial visualization. Techers can easily make a lesson/activity out of something similar to this book.

Spaghetti and Meatballs for all is a story about Mr. and Mrs Comfort who decided to host a family reunion for their family. Mr. and Mrs. Comfort were busy preparing for the big feast, they garlic bread, spaghetti, and salad all prepared, but when the tables and Mrs. Comfort even had a seating chart made up so everyone would have a place to sit. As guest began to arrive, everyone started to rearrange the seating chart and Mrs. Comfort didn't see how everyone was going to have a place to sit. Once all the tables were divided, everyone had a seat despite the tables not being set up according to Mrs. Comforts seating chart. I think that this is a really great story for students which is why I gave it a five-star review. It is a fun book that you could turn interactive by allowing your students to rearrange their desks or using cut outs to try and figure out what works. It also shows students that it is okay if there is more than one way to solve a problem.
