I picked this up to help my ear when I decided to try Russian again on my own. It's good for that. The text is relatively simple and the cd has a slow version as well as the normal so you can get used to recognizing the words at a slower speed if you need to. The inflection is exaggerated, but honestly it really helps you infer whats going on. My Russian vocabulary was never great so it's a fun challenge to listen and read along and try to figure out what new words mean and have old words come back. You do need to have good grasp of the Russian alphabet and things could be frustrating with out some knowledge of Russian grammar, but all and all it's good choice for someone looking to augment their Russian studies.… (altro)
