Concise and formal as one would expect of the era. One can sense the excitement as they prepare for this early attempt on Everest. Sadly, a variety of factors contributed to their failure, but Bruce portrays this as a step forward in the process. Indeed a great deal was learned about acclimatisation and the use of oxygen during the expedition. I surprised myself by reading every appendix! A must read for enthusiasts and historians. The Pilgrims reprint was well done, with very clear print and only one or two creased pages - buy with confidence!… (altro)
