In Hard as Stone Garrett has been watching over Brady, an ER doctor. One night Brady loses a 5-year-old and cannot accept he cannot save everyone. He runs from the ER going to a building that calms him a few blocks away. Garrett, the building's owner, sees Brady staring at his building and goes out to talk to him. They talk about the gargoyles around the top of the building and Garrett issues an invite to Brady to come see them some time. A few days later Brady accepts the invite and goes to the penthouse. Garrett saves him from falling and they spend a sexy night together. Will they have a relationship or is it only a one-night-stand?

I enjoyed this story. I liked the practicality of Garrett and his desire to help Brady. Brady has to learn some truths about his life and about Garrett before they are able to move forward. I liked Brady's desire to help everyone. Some he cannot help but others he can which he does in the ER. While there are secondary characters they are only there to move the story along. The story focuses on Brady and Garrett. They are a good couple.

In Chasing Sin Kate, Tripp, and Snyder are storm chasers. Kate takes a lot of chances while chasing tornadoes. She puts them all in danger on one chase. She's mad when Snyder rescues her before the tornado touches down. Their anger changes when they get back to the hotel where the three share a hot night followed by Kate leaving. They meet up again during hurricane season as they track Hurricane Jean which changes course as Kate had predicted. Now they are caught up in one of the worst storms every. Will they survive? Will Kate finally accept the love of Tripp and Snyder?

I liked this story. Kate was stubborn but so was Snyder. She has a hard time trusting her feelings for the men. They can accept her as she is. Secrets come out and Kate has to decide if she can accept their love. That will only happen if they survive the hurricane in her childhood summer home. When that hurricane hit I was scared for them. I hoped all would work out for them.

What I think I liked most about this book is that the relationship developed incrementally (over a number of months). There was nothing simple and I think this book was made all the better for that. Not to take anything away from other books in which the relationship evolves at breakneck speed - reading them serves a different purpose for me (and most likely others) but it was really good to read something a bit more balanced.

I'm definitely planning on looking out more books by this author.

Ms. Brookes has done a wonderful job with just the right amount of romance, adventure, angst, and hot sex! I love that the characters are scientists/storm chasers. I felt a real "kinship" with them weathering a hurricane in Kate's hometown in Texas. I have lost two homes to hurricanes in my life so I can def relate! The relationship between Snyder and Tripp is great, they are so devoted to each other. I was anxiously awaiting to find out if Kate was going to be a part of their HEA or stay out there on her own. I highly recommend if you like m/m/f with an awesome adventure and love story thrown in!

Taking Over Me is the first book in the Geek Kink series by Sara Brookes. I chose this book because the summery interested me. After reading the summery, this story has such promise.

Allison is a geek, she would rather work on a computer than find a date. Parts of Allison are easily relatable to most women. She has a very believable problem, she is not seen as a women by the men she hangs around with. She is just a buddy to them. She is a intelligent, and fun character. She is not stupid in anyway.

Patrick started a coffee business with his brother Alex. Allison comes to the rescue opening day. She gets him to upgrade the computers. Patrick likes to be in control. Patrick comes across as the type of person that most women want. He is honest, hardworking and cares for the people he is around.

The chemistry between Patrick and Allison is off the charts. The sex scenes are hot and spicy. The only thing I do not understand why Patrick exploded when he did not like how Allison’s friends treated her. He did not take the time to get to know them.

I enjoyed the secondary characters in the book; I do hope that Ms. Brookes plans to write about them. There was nothing that could make this story better. Overall, this was a wonderful story. I cannot wait for the next book in the series.

Reviewer’s Note: This book was originally published under the title ‘Hardware’. The original version was published November 1st 2010.

Her Master’s Collar is the first book in the On the Hunt series by Sara Brookes. This series is a collection of books by different authors. I chose this book because I have read a few books by Ms. Brookes and I have read one I did not like. This book is no exception.

Employees that work for Korene are taken hostage so she hires the best to save them. The fact that the best is here former master does not make her too happy, but she is brave to hire him no matter what her feelings are.

Roland is in love with his last sub and all he wants is for Korene on her knees serving him. Roland struggles with Korene and how he left her ten years prior. Its apparent he still loves her but he shattered her trust.

The chemistry between Roland and Korene is explosive. The sex scenes were blistering. I loved that Korene even though she was a submissive she did not do what her former master wanted until she thought it threw first.

While I am not normally a fan of sci-fi romance, this one was fabulous. Ms. Brookes does it again. Overall, this was a great read. Now I will be reading the other books in the series.

Rock Your Soul is the second book in the Geek Kink series by Sara Brookes. After reading the first book in the series, I could not wait for this book to come out. I really liked the first book and had high hopes for this book. This book absolutely lived up to them. Even though this book is part of a series it can be read and enjoyed as a standalone novel.

Beth is a strong character that pulled herself out of a tough and sadistic Dom. She was strong enough to realize that while she still enjoyed the lifestyle she needed to know more. I loved that while she was a disk jockey from Nashville she worked not for county music stations but Alternative Rock stations. She broke a lot of traditional submissive molds.

Ryan is a mysterious and intriguing character. He surprised me every time I thought I had him figured out. I liked that that he helped Beth embrace her submissive side as well. I really enjoyed that Beth helped Ryan deal with his past.

The chemistry between Ryan and Beth is explosive. They are a good match in and out of the bedroom. I loved how Ryan showed Beth that she could trust him not just in the bedroom but out of it as well. The sex scenes were very hot.

The only thing that would have made this story better was if it was if the author connected this book to the prior one in a better way. Overall, this was an enjoyable addition to the series. I cannot wait for the next book in the series to come out. There are so many fascinating characters in this series there are so many characters to choose from.

Dr. Kate Sinclair is a fiesty risk taker and adrenaline junkie, who is a storm chaser and teaches forecasting at the University of Oklahoma. Snyder Morgan and Tripp Dawson have been storm chasing partners and lovers for the past nine years. As fellow storm chasing colleagues, Kate met Morgan and Tripp five years ago while hunting down tornadoes and hurricanes. While working together chasing a tornado in Kansas, a mutual secret sexual desire by the guys to have Kate join them in a threesome explodes into a night of uninhibited passion that lives up to everything all three of them had hoped for. But the next morning Kate has second thoughts about this new part of their relationship, she doesn't want to get in between Morgan and Tripp, so she regretfully leaves them to chase the next storm. A few months later, the hurricane season is heating up and the trio once again is together storm chasing after a powerful hurricane. When the hurricane intensifies, they find themselves hunkering down to ride out the storm, and their dormant sexual tension and passion is reignited once again, and there's no time like the present to get it all out in the open!

Chasing Sin is one hell of an adrenaline rush of a novella! With an intertwining storyline consisting of storm chasing and a menage a trois, the highly sex charged action packed story exudes enough raw passion, heat and adrenaline that is sure to scorch the pages! I really liked how the author balances the intertwining storylines, I think it made the story that much more compelling and entertaining.

The author provides a cast of characters that are just plain hot! Their sexual interludes combined with the tension filled drama of storm chasing makes their mutual relationship sizzle to the point where it is combustible. Kate is one lucky lady to have two men desire her and want a passionate relationship filled with steamy uninhibited, no-holds-barred menage a trois nights of sex! Oh the imagination is a beautiful thing!

From the first page to the last, the author has created a sexually charged erotic tale that has non-stop sizzling action, so be prepared to buckle up because you'll be going along for one hell of thrill ride when you read this story!

If you like to read a sizzling erotic story that will get your juices flowing with a mixture of drama and an adrenaline junkies' passion for action, then Chasing Sin is the one for you, you won't be disappointed! *wink, wink*
