Kudos to this author for good writing even if most of the scenarios were totally unbelievable. I know it's fiction but I don't want to shake my head at every ridiculous thing the characters do. Nero was hot but Lucca has my undivided attention. Chloe and Elle were doormats with a capital "D". I just hate it when characters lie down and just take abuse then lie to protect the abusers. WHAT! There is vindication which is awesome to read about.

I was really into this story and wanting answers until it was done at 70% of the book. I was very confused and quite irritated to say the least. I didn't want another book at the end. I wanted this book.
I'll still read on but begrudgingly because I want my answers.

Answers
I needed the answers from the first book so badly. I got them and then some. Lucca. Sweet lord. This man is a Mafia underboss. He is brutal and dangerous. Yet, the man he is with Chloe is nothing short of spectacular. The care and devotion he gives to heal her is the stuff of legends. If anyone needed it then it surely is her. Every time he worked in the garden to give her something beautiful or he called her darlin' made my heart go pitter pat.
Much better then Chloe which I'm thinking was more like a prologue. This was a full book. Although it ended again at around 80% putting a large chunk of a different book to finish of the other percentage remaining. I just skipped that because it irritated me.… (altro)
