An excellent reference. My only disappointment is its failure to identify many of the early tribes in the Northeast. The Introduction adequately explains why but I am still disappointed. One of my objectives while working on my detailed book regarding the Podunks is to get publications such as this to at least identify them in the geographical area. I have identified 7 locations in the book which provide relevant detail to anyone interested in learning more about the Native Americans in Connecticut. Those sections include:

- Northeast Indians

Understanding the Podunks necessitates understanding their surroundings. Their time was when tribes were small (several hundred) versus those later which were large (thousands).… (altro)
