I picked up a copy of this book to read because I was first drawn to the beautiful book cover and than secondly by the premise of this book. Unfortunately, I found myself waiting for my interest to become piqued. Neither the characters nor the story ever captured my attention and grabbed it. Not to say that there was not a time or two when it started to but it never lasted. Sad because what I did read showed promise. I liked the message and goal that Vera and Peter were fighting for.
