Frances Bloxam

One day a young moose realizes his antlers are loose. He has taken such good care of them and doesn't understand why they are loose. He goes to seek help from his friend owl but his antlers end up falling off and moose begins to cry. A large moose hears him crying and explains to him that he will loose his antlers and new ones will grow during spring. Young moose stops crying and becomes happy again.

Great rhyme scheme, may be too long. Beau Beaver is pushed out of his parents dam and has to make a dam of his own. He gets a little lost and ends up making a dam in the middle of town in a drainage ditch. Animal rescue captues him and sends him back to the wild. Then he finds a mate and a good home.

Ages 4-7

Good book to read during right before Thanksgiving. Make turkey cookies after you read.
