Girlfriends, invisible bonds by Carmen Renee Berry and Tamara Trader
Female friendships are vital to a woman's growth. Opinions and bonds throughout a woman's life, starting at childhood stage.
Lots of stories through tough times and fun times. Authors ask for your stories to maybe include in their next book.
I received this book from National Library Service for my BARD (Braille Audio Reading Device).½

I wanted to like this book more than I did. It's a lovely concept, this aggregation of stories and observations about friendships among women. The thing is, it became very repetitive and, consequently, more than a little tedious after the first half dozen chapters. And, sadly, I think the authors gave short shrift to some of the most meaningful aspects of long-term friendships between women-- support in dealing with aging parents, long-term illness, delinquent children, widowhood: the times when you call a girlfriend at 11:00 at night because you find yourself cleaning out the refrigerator because you are desperate and alone and don't know what else to do. And she comes.½

Of course, I love this book; I submitted quotes and am named in the cover intro!
Ah, the perks of a bibliophile!
