I really enjoyed this book. It brings you into a well developed sci-fi world where clones who are said to be sub-human are exploited for many purposes. When one of those clones shows signs of intelligence, Zeb must reevaluate everything in his life. Lots of exciting action sequences and an ending I did not see coming.

I received this book in exchange for a review. The premise of the book was an interesting one. It pulled me in from the beginning. But, as with another reviewer, I didn't feel the character's relationships. As was also noted by another reviewer, this is the author's first novel. I would definitely enjoy reading more.

This book gripped me from the start. The premise was interesting, the writing was good. I found myself turning the pages fast and when taking breaks, returning to it avidly, immersing myself in it quickly every time.
Then at some point the interesting SF premise became utterly secondary to what now read like the script for an action movie. The over-detailed descriptions became a burden, the narrative a slog, despite the intense action. The omniscient description of the characters' motives and feelings became trite and cartoonish.
I continued reading hoping a return to the initial style and content, hoping for some resolution that would involve further elaboration of the SF premise on which the book is based... but that didn't happen. Worse, the final chapter of the book was if anything just the opposite of that, which I found rather disappointing.… (altro)

I was given this book in exchange for an honest review.
This book has a great storyline and is enjoyable. The story flowed very well, but the ending was lacking. This being the writers first book is great and definitely makes me want to read more from the author, but also shows the writer has some aspects to work on.
