First, let me say if you don't get the print edition in all its glorious colors, you're going to be missing out. This is one of those books you just can't experience the same through a screen. The colors and illustrations enhance the poems, and although you don't *have* to be, I read this twice, and reading it in an altered state makes the poems take on new life. Ok, now that that's out of the way - I loved this collection. The poems are unique, each with its own vibe and style, but conveying a message of sorts. I wouldn't say they all invoke vivid imagery, but they certainly invoke feelings and impressions, drawing the reader deeper into Becker's mind.… (altro)

Euphoric Wonderland: An Eclectic Collection of Psychedelic Poetry to Stimulate the Senses and Open the Mind by Ryan M. Becker wasn’t what I expected. From the title, I had expected poetry and descriptions the 5 senses could experience. It may not have been a reasonable expectation, but it was mine. My senses weren’t stimulated.

I’m not a poetry aficionado, so if I don’t show great enthusiasm it should be taken with only a grain of salt.

I found myself bored, as none of the poems grabbed me like the first one did. But once I read the poem that expresses Becker’s great disdain for Eminem, I kept reading hoping to discover what that was all about.

The role that the author’s love of music and appreciation for The Beatles play is evident in his mental wellness journey. His praise for The Beatles has intrigued me to listen to them.
