Marooned on Mogmog has received a diverse mix of reviews since being published; some positive, plenty negative - largely due to the author's regular critical comparisons between western culture and the local culture observed on the island. Whether you agree or not, the strength of the writing is the honesty - the reader will experience every wave of emotion as the family's predicament plays out. I found it a worthwhile read for this reason alone.
