Huntley Baldwin

I'm so glad I picked this book up in the hotel tourist shop. Some of the watercolours are stunning. Some are fairly amateurish, but you can actually see him improve as the 'year' goes on. He's actually got quite a pleasant sense of humour and a palpable love of his adopted home. It is, as Baldwin says in his forward type thingy: part journal, guidebook, sketchbook, and commentary. A lovely read for a quiet day.
