It's very...creative. Some of the designs were cute. I wouldn't want to make clothes out of duct tape though.

The only problem I have is some ingredients may not be easily available.

This was not what I was anticipating, although I may be harsh in judging it based on my anticipations. It is very light on the health benefits of only a handful of spices and herbs. Not much information about how to treat or preserve them, either. It gives a selection of blog-type recipes, most of which sound good enough to try, which incorporate a few spices and herbs. For a beginner cook, I think this would be good.½

I picked this up for free, and didn't realize it was put together from Instructables. Anybody who does DIY projects is aware of this site, one I don't really frequent because the vast majority of the projects posted there are poor quality, with even poorer instructions and photography.

This "book" is simply a compliation of projects from the site, which includes frequent advertising for the website. The directions are complete with typos, nothing is edited and the projects shown are those only suitable for children.

Some formatting issues and NO table of contents.
The recipes I tried, however, were great so it is bumped a star.

10 Fun Things To Do With Your Microwave by Instructables.com. Kindle Edition.
Although there are notices posted everywhere these can do harm to you.
Everything from putting a grape in the oven to Ivory soap. There are chemical reactions that happen with the microwave radiation that occurs.
There are videos to click on to view what happens.
Shell candles looked ok but could go wrong in a quick hurry if you're not careful.
Chocolate cake or a brownie in a mug sounds like an idea for just two people, rather than making a whole big cake.

This free e-book from itunes was just okay. It's a step-by-step guide with photos. The cover and title led me to believe that it was a microwave cookbook. I didn't realize that when it says "Things to DO with your microwave" that includes taking a microwave apart and welding. Not really my idea of fun, but it was interesting to look at the pictures of the process. My favorite sections were the recipes and the microwave candle making guide. Projects that I might actually try.

Shares some of the same recipes as the 5-Minute Recipes ebook, but altogether nice and easy appetizers.

The third Instructables Authors ebook that I downloaded free from itunes. It's a really good step-by-step cake project book, being that it's free. While some of the projects are very advanced, there are several that I feel comfortable trying. This ebook has something for everyone who's interesting in cake design. From dragons, to pirate ships, penguins, ladybugs, and Halloween cakes, it includes a wide range of cakes for different tastes and skill levels.

Quilts! Quilting Techniques from Easy To Advanced
Colorful illustrated step by step process of putting quilts together using different techniques and mediums.
I found this book to be more of a beginner series for most of the items and have done almost all the different techniques myself.
Very easy to understand instructions for one just starting out.
Supplies, instructions, steps and hints are included by individual authors.
There are also many references for the website instructables for further explanation.
Crazy quilt block sounds interesting and the color combinations are appealing.

Halloween Food (Instructables Halloween) by Authors of Instructables
Loved the front cover and wanted to know how to make the treats: desserts, drinks and snacks.
Illustrated very colorful book showing step by step how to make the items. They are so real to life! Also tells why the author wanted to make them, what inspired them to do so.
Decorated Mummy Dogs would be my favorite to cook.
Candy corn would be my second favorite but it involves a lot more work.
Great book for family baking as long as the kids have supervision.

This book put me quite firmly in mind of the hilarious Dylan Thomas line from [b:A Child's Christmas in Wales|563820|A Child's Christmas in Wales|Dylan Thomas|http://d.gr-assets.com/books/1348381389s/563820.jpg|809138] "And Easy Hobbi-Games for Little Engineers, complete with instructions. Oh, easy for Leonardo!" Which is to say that there are many interesting looking projects herein, but they are mostly way above my skill level. Still, lots of fun to read about. Except the circuit boards, those make my eyes glaze right over.

This may have value to me down the road. Step by step photos and directions and cost estimates for DIY solar installations, especially. Nice presentation.

While the recipes contained in this e-cookbook are wonderful I found the huge amount of information for each recipe to be overkill. The cookbook is laid out in a way that seems to be made for someone who has never cooked in their life and needs to be shown a picture of every step and then given a choice to check its dictionary meaning also. Although they say information is power, I think this is too much. If you can get past all the stuff the recipes are good.
