The book is just what it says on the cover, after a couple of pages of introduction is a collection of 48 full-colour plates shown one to a page and literally as large as the page will permit allowing for format. The paintings carry the minimal captions, further details are to found from pp58-71 along with a few paragraphs of information about each of the artists.

This is a well produced large format book, although perhaps showing its date now that in my copy the pages are noticeably off white which of course affects the colour of the plates.… (altro)
