"Out of a misplaced sense of importance, dozens of egotistical politicians throw their hats in the ring, but never get close enough to fight."
(As well as being a great book for history nerds, this book is also surprisingly timely in regards to the 2016 presidential primaries)

Anyways, on to the review:

This is a really obscure book and it shouldn't be. It is a well-written review of every Vice President. The vice presidency is surprisingly interesting and these men are so close to the presidency, ignoring them is simply foolish. Several of them even become president. That is how important this office is!

And sorry for getting personal, but if you're an American history nerd and you haven't read this book (or something along the lines of it - it's a bit old so it doesn't include any VP after George HW Bush), you're not doing it right.

This book is fun for the Philadelphia resident or visitor who wants to know more about Philadelphia streets and the history behind them. Who knew that Christian Street and Queen Street were both named for Queen Christina of Sweden? Alotta does, and lots more, both trivia and important history.

The book can be read from start to finish, but for those who know Philadelphia, it is more fun to just look up your own street or just streets with what seem like peculiar names.
