I feel like I keep having the same problem with polyamorous romance novels—it seems to me that between one and all of the characters is underdeveloped and explored! I wanted to know way more about all of these characters and their various relationships, and I felt a certain lack of investment without that. Is it just me, or should all novels about throuples be longer?!

Did I read a holiday book in January/February to simply feel something.... possibly. The banter is truly what did it for me. The relationship between Frankie and Ophelia made me laugh and blush both at the same time. While there were some parts I had to suspend disbelief, I found the majority of their relationship believable and I ultimately was cheering for them throughout the story. In the grand scheme of things, I think the plot was extremely reliant on the impending timeline that the story was structured on, which did impede some of the flow of the story. It felt a little too quick at the end, like it all finished up too fast. It was still an ending I was satisfied with, so I'm happy.… (altro)

This is a decent book.

I enjoyed the plot and how it discussed non-binary / gender / sexuality issues in the context of work and friendship. I liked the setting in the cooking space and how it contrasted Test Kitchen precision vs stupid (but useful) Tasty videos and how SEO drives engagement. I even liked Ray, the non-binary character. But Simone, the heroine, was hard for me to like. She seemed like the very definition of a stick in the mud and I have no idea why Ray would be interested in her.
