Much of the book is written in diary entries, an idea the main character, Judy, takes from Anne Frank. Judy Miller is fifteen and has trouble in school and life in general. She seems to always say the wrong thing, is terrible at math, and everyone at school thinks she's weird. Her thirteen year old sister Emily seems to have it so easy! She's smart, pretty and has lots of friends. What Judy eventually comes to realize is that she has a learning disability, and her parents enroll her in a special school. But Judy also has a secret plan to make Emily and her family proud of her! Can she do it?
