Sweet Home Macrame: A Beginner's Guide to Macrame by Casey Alberti is an incredibly well done craft book that offers updated projects to fit a 2020’s sense of style. The pictures showing how to make the various knots, along with the very clear text make it very easy to follow along to make the projects. (I didn’t have the right materials and just used some scrap yarn to try some of the options.) Helpfully, there are some beautiful things that only require learning less than half a dozen knots. There are also a good variety of projects from the ubiquitous wall hangings to coasters and jewelry. There is a 4 planter wall hanging that I absolutely love, from the multi-hanger, which is something that I have not seen before, to the color scheme that is used. Although the author discusses how to customize color, size and design, my only tiny note might be to include pictures of the finished projects in several colorways or with some slight variations to help in inspiration.
