Interpersonal relationships between three different Batgirls, past and present, as well as robin, and Batman (Nightwing). ( )

A pretty fun book, with Stephanie Brown taking over the role of Batgirl as a sort of outside-observer into the cloistered Bat-family in the wake of Batman RIP. The writing is light and fun, closer in tone to something like Spider-Man than a normal Bat title. The art leaves something to be desired, though -- it does its job most of the time, but doesn't really have a lot of oomph. A fun trip, though. ( )

There was obviously a lot of backstory I missed here; I should have started earlier in the series. But it was good otherwise.

I was curious about Stephanie Brown Batgirl so I decided to give this series a shot. This is the intro book where you find out how she gets the mantle, her and Oracle get on the same page and she joins the Bat Family.

This is almost as much Oracle's book as it is Stephanie's which made me really happy. I loved watching the two of them interact and then getting Damien and Dick to see that they really did all belong together. It was also nice to see Stephanie giving college and doing normal things a bit of a try. Can't wait to read the next one. ( )
