Notes that the newspaper was sympathetic to fascism and Nazism during the 1930s although it also employed Dorothy Thompson, a noted anti-Hitler writer. Pp. 385-389 discuss the "Tribune"'s reluctance to employ Jews or place them in positions of responsibility up to the early 1950s, and the publishing of discriminatory "help wanted" advertisements.
