I believe that this is a perfect children's biography book. One reason I believe it is great is because the reader actually gets three biographies for the price of one (Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin and Mike Collins) The book gives good insightful informaion into the lives of these three men and also what was happening in the world while the men were growing up. The author uses images and illustrations beautifully throughout the book to intrigue the reader. The images used are much more than just a picture of the men while they were growing up, she also includes pictures of airplanes and times of the war and pictures of the boy's dog. This book does not include a glossary, but when necessary the author did a great job of explaining a word like, orbit, right in the text of the book. The book does include an index, a table of contents, a timeline as well as a few websites to continue to grow the children's knowledge of the subject.
