I have actually never heard of any of these until reading this. I was expecting "Humpty Dumpty" or "Mary Had a Little Lamb". My favorite poem would probably be the traffic jam because it is so relatable. I love how the author uses different stanzas in each poem. The illustrator also does a fantastic job by adding the pictures to really blend in with the words. ( ) With the amount of poems J Patrick Lewis has written, I am not very impressed with this story. The points of the poems seem to get jumbled in the madness of trying to get across humor. Although, children would be thoroughly engaged in these poems, I believe they may be confused by spelling and such. For example, Lewis makes up words like "talkingest". From and educational standpoint, I would choose another poetry story by him to read to students. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione
Who has kissed the most cobras? Eaten the most live scorpions? Sailed highest on a skateboard? Been stuck the longest in an elevator? These and 21 other vexing superlatives are the subject matter of this zany collection of verse by one of America's most well-loved poets, J. Patrick Lewis. Comic illustrations by Keith Graves make this the funniest, wackiest, rhyming-est book on the shelf. Non sono state trovate descrizioni di biblioteche |
