I thought this book was really funny and cute, as it's a great twist on the traditional "boy wants a dog" story. It shows children different perspectives. The illustrations are great and bring the story to life with ease. Absoltly LOVED. A boy wants a dog and promises the same things that a boy promises when he wants a dog. He will feed it, it can sleep with him, he will train it etc. He finally gets a dog and he teaches it to do all of the things that a bog teaches his dog, to fetch, share his food, etc. Great for discussions on the responsibilities of caring for a dog. This is a cute litle story about a young puppy and his mother. Everyday he dreams that he will find his boy, take him home, and train him. Thinking that he is a human rather than the puppy, he seeks out a human boy in everyday life. Along the way he gets captured by the dog police and is kept in humane society. Ironically, a little boy shows up and chooses the puppy to take home. Even still, the puppy thinks that he is going to train the boy. This is a mildly entertaining twist on the "boy wants a dog" story; in this one, a dog wants a boy. He convinces his mother to let him get a boy, then he spends awhile searching for the perfect boy. During his quest, he ends up getting taken to the dog pound. While there, a little boy finds him and they adopt each other. The illustrations are flat, have a limited color palatte, and have a sort of nostalgic feel. The twist on the story takes the book from "eh" to "okay," but nothing special. I did find it a little weird that the dog gets put in the pound, is separated from his mother, doesn't get to go back to her, and ends up writing her a note when he ends up going to live with his boy. I'm thinking this won't sit too well with many kids suffering from separation anxiety! nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione

Dog wants a boy. Even though Mama says that boys are hard to train, he's determined to get one. Some are too big, some are too small, and most importantly, none of them smell just right. Will Dog ever meet his match? Non sono state trovate descrizioni di biblioteche |
