Jerry Pinkney's adaptation of a classic is a great read for little ones. It is a fun read aloud. The repetition makes it easy for children to join in. This is a great story because while it is fun it also teaches children that there are consequences for our actions. The animals regret not helping the hen when they realize they don't get to eat her delicious bread. As always, Pinkney's illustrations add to the story. I've really fallen in love with his work during this author study! ( ) This is a folktale that is retold by Jerry Pinkney and he always amazes me with his work. This story is a folktale that shows that you need to do you part if you want to earn the rewards at the end. Jerry Pinkney's illustrations are always so detailed and keep you interested to see what's going to happen next. I never read this book as a child, but I enjoyed it and think it teaches a good lesson for kids. This book is a classic children's book. I remember reading this book when I was younger. I think this book is a great way to teach children that if you don't help, you cannot expect to enjoy the rewards. The animals did not want to help the little red hen with all the hard work. They only wanted to help her with the fun work. It also shows that helping someone can have a good reward. This is a good book that can be interactive and is quite predictable, so you might be able to ask the children what they think the animals are going to reply back to the little red hen. This book includes good moral lessons that should be taught to younger children. The little red hen asks others for help in order to make bread, but no one wanted to help with the process until it was time to eat the bread. Children can learn through this book that even though things might take a while, gains and rewards can be brought about. Little red hen ask his friend for help when he making bread out of wheat but no one want to help him so when it ready to eat, he not sharing. I like this book because it show that we have to help other if we want to gain something. I will use it for my class to talk about the theme. It suitable for grade first to fifth. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione
