This creepy Alphabet book uniquely ascribes a scary character or scene to each letter of the alphabet. The book is honestly quite creepy with actual pictures for many of the scenes including a striking python for "p" and a double exposed photograph quite convincingly showing a ghost for "g". I would probably not keep this book in my classroom for grades lower than third because of its scary content. Older grade levels may have some fun getting ideas for their creative writing assignments around Halloween. A fun assignment for a 3-5 grade class could be choosing 5 of the letters and corresponding scary ideas and including each of them in their own Halloween ghost story. Themes covered are fiction and fear.
