Playful riff on the 'zombie island' subgenre of exploitation films and Marvel's horror comics. The concept's tighter than a lot of the Marvel Zombies titles, and Fred Van Lente has fun playing with obscure Marvel characters (now the infection has reached the 616 universe, they're the only ones that are expendable). Pity about the horrible cover. ( )

Continuing the zombie virus storyline, Marvel Zombies 4 focuses on the Midnight Sons as they try to make sure that the virus doesn't spread too far into the 616-Universe. All in all one of the best runs in the entire series that has a whole lot more character development than any of the other ones, minus perhaps Marvel Zombies 3. ( )
