Cool cat brings its suitcase full of paints to a brown, barren area. Cool cat begins to paint a colorful field and blue sky. A mouse joins the cat in painting the colorful scene. Next a bird and rabbit join in on painting the colorful field as well. The animals all paint until there is a lush, green field complete with a pond. The other animals enjoy their new habitat as Cool Cat backs up their suitcase of paintbrushes and says goodbye. A wordless book that shows a cat and their painting supplies. The cat takes the baron landscape and creates and beautiful prairie from it. I love wordless books because it is a kick starter to story telling for many children. I would start using this as young as preschool all the way to second grade. Cool Cat was simple and short. The art and story were a little boring, as many of the pictures looked the same. It gets more interesting though as more animals arrive on the scene to help out. It could be used in the classroom with discussions of cleaning up urban spaces, and the potential people have to change our world. Just because something appears some way does not mean it doesn't have potential to be beautiful. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione
Cool Cat's neighborhood isn't so cool. It's barren and brown, littered with rusty cans and broken bottles. No problem. With an old paint box, a troop of helpful animals, and lots of imagination, Cool Cat turns the world around him into a Rousseau-style masterpiece. An enchanting story of resourcefulness and positive thinking. Non sono state trovate descrizioni di biblioteche |
