I've read two books by this author previously and enjoyed them immensely. However, this book did not meet with my expectations, and perhaps it is me that has changed, and not the author's style.

The premise is interesting, but much of the story seemed to be contrived. The animals added a charming element, and I would have liked to hear more about the farm and the people instead of reading predictable "feel good" solutions to problems faced by those in this book.

It was still enjoyable, but I am not sure I will reread it. ( )
