The pictures in this book are, in one sense, gorgeous. But in another, they are frustrating because the number of close-up detail photos is more limited than I would like. And the text was frequently quite descriptive, but nonetheless hard to understand because (a) it involved technical terms that were not explained, (b) described details not viewable in the photographs, and/or (c) might be several pages away from the photo it was describing. Overall, I just left wishing for more detail and better arrangement of the material. ( )
