The Secret Invasion tie-ins have been hit or miss for me. Most have too much filler of old material. Like the Thor trade, this one is mostly material directly related to the crossover. However, unlike Thor, this story had far more substance.

This story was exceptionally good because when the Skrulls invade Wakanda, Black Panther and Storm are the only superheroes there. And Panther does not have powers, per se. He relies on technology; and the skrulls have far more advanced tech right? But what he does have is a brain. I loved this story. Black Panther is quickly becoming one of my favorite heroes because his stories are so damn smart. Needless to say, the Skrull invasion does not go as planned.

Overall, every single page of this short trade was worth reading. It's a damn shame that Marvel hasn't released any Black Panther collections/omnibuses. So far, this is the only crossover tie-in that I think is essential to Secret Invasion. His tie-in for Civil War was also awesome. Highly recommended. ( )
