The book was confusing for me so i read it twice. I really enjoyed the book and the pictures were amazingly drawn. I love the spirit the main character had over the fall berries and how she believed in the berry magic. It was an amazing book. ( )

Anana watches the women of her village complain about the crowberries they are picking for the Fall Festival. Anana devises a plan to please the women.

I liked this story. It was a linear tale reminiscent of European-American fairy tales but entranced me because it was Eskimo. I enjoyed another culture's mythic tale. I would use this story in either public library or elementary school to portray how each culture came up with fairy tales, and they are different than the typical ones that we are very familar with like Cinderella. ( )
