Romita Jr.'s art has grown on me over the years; when I first was reading comics back in the early 90's, I didn't particularly like it, but I think that is because I was overwhelmed by a few of the really great, detailed, artists that were penciling at that time. I now really appreciate his art. This story line was pretty good, although it suffered a bit from too many characters on the scene at the same time. ( )

Harry Osborn's girlfriend, Lily Hollister, has a father who is running for mayor, and a goblin-like adversary called Menace is trashing his campaign. Pete gets a job at the "Front Line" after his firing at the DB. Norman Osborn is security chief for the mayor of NYC, and trashes Peter Parker's apartment and roughs him up, looking for Spider-Man. Since "Brand New day", of course, he no longer knows Peter's secret. One of the team that Osborn throws against Spidey is Bullseye, and an interesting little confrontation it is. Harry confronts his father and rejects him, again, and Lily Hollister makes a play for Peter. Lotsa stuff going on here, lotsa players in the mix, and I'm not really up on all the background. It didn't take long for the Spider-Man re-write to get overly complex. ( )
