Presents Laura Ingalls Wilder's life as a pioneer girl and her work as a writer describing that life for others. This simple story was one that brought me back to my childhood reading days. I was an avid Laura Ingells Wilder fan, and only am now wondering if I thought her stories were real or not. This biography is not extensive. It is written for a younger audience and is something I imagine that I would have enjoyed reading as a young child. Despite its small size, Ginger Wadsworth accomplishes a lot in a short time, including harder times that were not in her popular writings. The source list and notes reinforce the aunthenticity of the writing. Although many may not think that Laura Ingells Wilder's life was anything extraordinary, I think Wadsworth makes it clear that the simplicity, hard work, persistence and positive attitude of Laura and her family were inspiring. I would reccommend this book to any young reader who enjoy's Laura's Little House books. nessuna recensione | aggiungi una recensione
