{My thoughts} – Owly is an owl and he wants a friend. He isn’t enjoying being so lonely all the time. One day he finds Wormy and he is lost. He is looking for his family and Owly helps him on his search.

In the second part of the book Owly and Wormy make two new friends named Tiny and Angel. They buy them special flowers so they can eat and they become really close friends. When winter comes it is time to say good-bye because they need to fly south. Both Owly and Wormy don’t want their friends to leave, but they know that they need to.

This is a nice little graphic novel. I enjoyed the illustrations as much as the words in which they portray. I look forward to reading more books in this series in the future! ( )

- This book is about an owl who just wants to find a friend. Everyone is afraid of him but then they realize that he just wants to help and in return they end up helping the owl on his journey.

- I thought it was really cute and I like how it has a series. I would probably have this in my classroom.

Early readers who are learning about friendship and finding their way back home will love this book. It has great visuals and large font to help them understand and follow along with the story. A great read for 1st - 2nd graders because of the simple language and visuals. ( )
