A fairly ground level view of the Flying Tigers and the air war in China. Provides a look into Chenault, without whom there is no AVG and provides a platform for a number of the fliers to expound on their experiences. Book moves naturally and is entertaining. There is a very scathing account of the behavior of a captured officer. The candor displayed by the POW for this individual was interesting, and somewhat unusual. A good read. This book considers the ways natural languages vary with respect to their realisation of quantificational notions. Drawing on data from English, German, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin, Hausa and others, the authors also link the variation in the expression of quantification to the notions of polarity sensitivity free-choice and indefiniteness.
