Fiction. Horror. Romance. Suspense. Marushka loves pretty things: lace and velvet, porcelain and pearls. She sews elaborate costumes for all of her dolls, and she spends hours arranging their hair just so. Her collection is growing; she's added a very pretty trinket, and his name is Michael. This series keeps getting more and more intense! Marushka’s lair was creepy AF. ( )

I loved the almost-peril and the almost-emotion of it in this one. It was creepy and weird and perfect. I just love how Wild Bill reacts to what Michael does, although part of it didn't become completely clear until the next book.

This is not my favorite cover--the man needs to pluck his eyebrows--but I had no idea he was built, too. I need to see his whole body even if I have to sacrifice seeing his pretty head in just once. ( )

At the end, Michael and Wild Bill's relationship has an 'official' recognition... In the first book, Wild Bill seduced and abandoned Michael, in the second book Michael seduced and abandoned Wild Bill... it's obvious that both of them are playing hard to get but that they want to be together. And so in the third book, Wild Bill again rescues Michael from a very dangerous situation involving a rogue vampire and this time he remains also in the aftermath, to share an hot night with Michael... what will happen the morning after maybe we will know in another chapter.

Michael is a young boy, and even if he has seen terrible and unbelievable things, he still remain a lonely boy running away from his family and maybe from a world that doesn't accept a gay goth guy. In a way, the world that Michael apparently wants to destroy, the vampire underworld of unsuited and unstable, is also the world that accepts Michael. Wild Bill is part of that world; a vampire who didn't want to be, an undead who still try to live as a mortal, who cares for wordly things like fashion and, even if he doesn't want to show it, cares for Michael's feelings. Wild Bill tries to give to Michael a 'normal' relationship, made of sex and sharing, a relationship the young boy needs to replace his lost family.

And sex is a really important part of this urban paranormal series; truth be told, sometime I skip a sex scene to read the 'story', after all how much original you can be describing sex? But Jordan Castillo Price makes the sex scene a very important element of the story, every detail is important and you are compelled to read it; she is so good in doing that that you can almost feel what Michael feels...
